1Exfoliate the skin at least 24 hours prior to tanning, to ensure the skin is free of dead skin cells, and dry skin. Taking extra time on drier area’s such as feet, ankles, knees and elbows. This will create a smooth canvas for the tan.
2Waxing/shaving should be done MINIMUM 24 hours prior to tanning, as the pores will be loosened, and tan will find its way into them. The last thing you want are hundreds of tiny brown dots on the skin.
3Ensure the skin is clean, just before tanning, and free of creams/lotions and deodorant’s. Do not use any soaps or gels that contain SLS/Sulphates, as self-tans do not mix well, and you wouldn’t want to end up with green coloured skin…
4On a fully dry skin, pump the mousse, 2 to 3 times, each time, directly onto our velour mitt. We suggest starting in the larger areas, using circular motions, and working outwards. Use whatever is left on the mitt to gently wipe over the hands, feet, ankles and face. Take care over the knees and elbows, as these are the drier areas. Application amount is to each person’s own discretion, but a more liberal amount, will create a better result.
5Use the Luxury Tanning Mitt to buff out any lines that you may see.
6Development time is something that you may want to test. Every skin is different, and so are other brands of tans, you may have used. We suggest: 1-2 hours (Light) 2-3 hours (Medium) 4 to 6+ (Dark) even overnight, this will ensure the full development time has been reached, and the deepest colour obtained.
7Shower with warm, not hot water, don’t scrub, just gently wipe/wash the hands over the skin to ensure all remains of the bronzer have rinsed away. We prefer not to use a shower gel or soap for the 1st rinse, and then pat dry.
8For best results and to maintain the tan for longer, ensure you use a SLS/Sulphate free shower gel, and body lotion to keep the skin hydrated and nourished. Even fully developed tans don’t like sulphates, as it will break down the tan quickly, and leave it looking patchy.
Luxury Tanning Mitt
1Pump the mousse, 2 to 3 times, when needed, directly onto the mitt, see application method, for each tan.
2Wet with warm water, and squeeze in the hands to rinse any remainder of tan out of the mitt, and leave to dry. It can be machined washed, with “like” colours, on a very gentle cycle.
3We suggest rinsing clean after each use, for best results
